Dr. Maggie Olano

Dr. Maggie Olano graduated from Dental School in 1995. After two years in private practice she decided to further her education and moved to Minnesota where she completed the Advanced Education in General Dentistry Residency at the University of Minnesota. Dr. Olano excelled in this graduate program and in 1998 she was accepted to the Clinical Fellowship in Geriatric Dentistry at the same University. There are less than a handful of advanced training programs like this one left in the United States that provide the expertise to treat adults and older adults with a variety of cosmetic and restorative treatments including crowns, implants and dentures.
In 2000 "Dr. Maggie" moved with her family to the Washington DC area and became one of the first dentists to practice in Gainesville. Dr. Olano has had a tremendous impact in the surrounding communities establishing herself as a source of outstanding dental care for the numerous residents in the area. Her general and cosmetic dentistry have an unsurpassed record of quality and her warm, caring and personable professional manner makes her patient's visits comfortable and enjoyable. Since 2009, Dr. Olano has been selected by her peers as a "Top Dentist" on the surveys of Northern Virginia Magazine, Virginia Living and Washingtonian Magazine. Dr. Olano lives in Maryland with her husband, Dr. Polack, and their two children. In her time off she enjoys running, diving, traveling and spending time with her family.

Dr. Mariano A. Polack earned his dental degree in 1995 graduating at the top 1% of his class. Early in his career he received two research awards from the prestigious International Association of Dental Research. In 1997, following two years in private practice, he enrolled in the three-year Specialty Program in Prosthodontics at the University of Minnesota.
Prosthodontics is the specialty that deals with the esthetic restoration and replacement of teeth with veneers, crowns, implants and removable dentures. Prosthodontists are considered the experts in creating optimal dental function and appearance.
Dr. Polack graduated in 2000 obtaining a specialist certificate in Prosthodontics. In addition, he obtained a Master of Science Degree for his research leading to the development of a new system to test the bond strength of dental adhesives.
Dr. Polack moved to the Washington DC area in 2000 and has been in private practice since then. In addition, between 2002 and 2004, he was a guest scientist at the Ceramics Division of the National Institute of Standards and Technology where he was involved in several research projects on dental porcelain.
Dr Polack has published more than 40 abstracts and papers on prosthodontics and dental materials in highly respected scientific journals. He also lectures extensively, both nationally and internationally (Europe, Asia and the Americas), including presentations at world-class dental meetings such as the Academy of Osseointegration and the American Academy of Implant Dentistry (please follow this link to see more: Lectures ). Since 2009, Dr. Polack has been selected by his peers as one of the "Top Dentists" on the surveys of Northern Virginia Magazine, Viriginia Living and Washingtonian Magazine. He is a member of the Academy of Osseointegration , American College of Prosthodontics , American Dental Association and a founding member of the Gainesville Study Club, a multi-specialty study club in Northern Virginia.
Dr. Polack resides in Maryland with his wife, Dr. Maggie Olano, and their two children. He enjoys running, diving, playing electric guitar and traveling with his family in his spare time.
